Webinar: Legionella Testing Methods and What You Should Know
May 18 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTC+0
Legionella bacteria is just one challenge companies face when managing their cooling programs, and maintaining building water systems is essential to reducing the risk of Legionella growth and transmission.
In this webinar, we will address different testing methods for Legionella, when these methods may be appropriate, and what to consider when selecting a test method. We will also cover how to read and interpret results.
We hope you can join us for this presentation and Q&A with our water treatment expert.
MEET THE EXPERT
Legionella Tech Staff Coordinator
Kelly is a Legionella Technical Staff Coordinator with ChemTreat in Richmond, VA. She has been working for ChemTreat for the past 7 years. Kelly graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical and Life Science Engineering. During her undergraduate studies, she carried out research in cell attachment and synthetic bone tissue development.
After graduating, she came to work at ChemTreat in the Microbiology R&D group. During her time in R&D as a Chemist, she carried out multiple customer support projects and researched testing methods for microbial growth in industrial water samples. Her main project work focused on developing methods for bacteria detection, speciation, and enumeration using the flow cytometer.
Kelly has coauthored and presented a paper at the Cooling Technology Institute (CTI) on her flow cytometer method for the enumeration of live and dead bacteria in industrial water samples and the ability to speciate bacteria using antibody stains.
As a Legionella Technical Staff Coordinator, Kelly works with ChemTreat’s sales team to develop Water Management Plans and provides support surrounding New York Legionella regulations.
